Strategic Expansion into Specialised European Transport
As of June 1, 2026, G. van der Heijden & Zonen B.V. has acquired the activities of HB Sluimers Transporten in Barendrecht. This strategic step broadens the company’s position within the transport sector and supports its continued focus on growth, continuity and specialisation.
A New Name, the Same Trusted Service
The activities will continue under the name G. van der Heijden Logistics B.V.. This integration brings the operations together within the organisation while preserving the expertise and specialisation built up over the years.
All employees will remain on board, and Henk and Carolien Sluimers will continue to be involved during the transition period to ensure a smooth transfer and continuity. For customers, very little will change: the same people, the same service and the same commitment.
