As of 1 July 2026, Transportbedrijf G. van der Heijden & Zn. B.V. has acquired the activities of G.B.I. Transport B.V. This acquisition officially formalises a long-standing partnership and creates an even stronger organisation for customers throughout the Netherlands and across Europe.
For many years, G.B.I. Transport and Van der Heijden have worked closely together. Built on mutual trust, shared values and a common commitment to customer service, the decision was made to continue their activities as one organisation. This step creates new opportunities for growth and further strengthens Van der Heijden’s position within the logistics sector.
For customers, very little will change. The familiar service, personal approach and direct communication will remain exactly as they are today. At the same time, customers will benefit from increased capacity, an expanded logistics network and a broader range of transport solutions.
By combining knowledge, experience and logistical expertise, Van der Heijden further expands its network of transport partners and its range of logistics services. This enables the company to respond even more flexibly to customer requirements and to offer additional transport possibilities throughout the Netherlands, Belgium and other international destinations.
Sustainability continues to play an important role in the company’s strategy. Van der Heijden continuously invests in future-proof transport solutions and offers customers the option of using HVO100 renewable fuel, reducing CO₂ emissions by up to 90% compared with conventional diesel. Combined with investments in electric vehicles and efficient logistics processes, the company is actively working towards a more sustainable transport chain.
